- Cíle předmětu
- An introduction to contemporary cinemas of Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Albania. The era of Balkan socialist cinemas ended with the collapses of communist regimes in Bulgaria, Romania (1989) and Albania (1990) and with the break-up of Yugoslavia. The Bulgarian film industry fell into depression, Romanian film art succeeded on festivals during the first time but they were no films produced in 2000; a revival came lately with a new wave. The national cinemas of the former Yugoslavia – Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Bosnian, Macedonian and the cinema of Montenegro develop in conditions of independent countries; everyone reflects in its own point of view the upcoming ethnic conflicts and wars.
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and interpret selected films from the region. - Osnova
