Course objectives
The aim of the lecture is to give an introduction to the essential works of German and Czech literature and film related to the escape and expulsion of the Germans in comparison with the literature of historical criticism.
At the end of the course the students have an insight into the historical perspective and have a good knowledge of the existence of various narratives concerning this topic.
Syllabus
  • introduction to the historical narrative – Czech and German and “Sudeten- Deutsch“
  • presentation of selected films concerning this topic
  • lectures on selected topics and reading of the texts concerning this topic
