Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand and explain basic tendencies in the development of modern Chinese literature
- apply findings about co-temporary intellectual milieu to analyse selected literary writings

- lecture introducing a general context of each topic
- followed by students´ presentations of their reading of selected literary writings
Assessment methods
- written presentation of literary analysis based on own reading and secondary literature

- final test (min. 70%)
