Course objectives
The Aim of this seminar is to acquaint students with basic important principles when writing their final thesis. In the second part of the seminar topics of each students works will be discussed and a warning to the specific problems, that are associated with them, will be made.
Syllabus
  • 1. How to write a concluding thesis
  • 2. Preparation of research – Search for topics - The problem and his determination - Structure of the study – Description - Heuristics (sources, literature) - Analysis and Interpretation - Writing thesis (citations , notes, content and distribution of thesis )
  • 3. Actual methodology in recent texts - they are chosen according to the topic of the thesis

Teaching methods
Lectures and class discussion about theoretical backgrounds.
Assessment methods
Participation in the seminar is compulsory. For evaluation, a chapter of the thesis in preparation must be presented, concerning the bibliopgraphy of the specific topic and a methodological position of the author.
