Course objectives
The course is focused on editing older texts, form the viewpoint of diachronic linguistics. Main aims of the course are: to understand textology and editing texts, linguistic interpretation if sources, creating editions of older Czech texts. At the end of the course the students should know the basic relevant terminology, theoretical background of editor’s work with the sources, usage in editing language in the texts. The knowledge can be used for editing an extracts from an older Czech text, including its interpretation supported by proper arguments.
