Course objectives
The seminar is concentrated on developing the student's literary and literary-critical skills. An analysis of the extracts of prosaic compositions of Czech and word authors, with accent on questions and problems related with structure of the prosaic text, will bring us to creation of student's own compositions (tasks associated with difficulties when writing a literary text) and discussion. After finishing the course students:
- improve their language competence;
- develope their creative abilities;
- understand the internal order of the prose;
- comprehend more profoundly literary texts;
- heighten their literary-critical competence.

  • Circle of problems:
  • - the structure of prosaic text;
  • - characterization of literary heroes;
  • - psychology of literary heroes;
  • - description;
  • - dialogue;
  • - emotionality;
  • - humour.
