Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The doctoral student will have the opportunity to study the development of Romance languages from Vulgar Latin to the present day. Apart from sound change, the course also focuses on structural changes in language. The more ancient developmental stages of Romance languages are presented and the ways and extent to which they still influence and are themselves present in modern-day language usage are discussed.
