- Course objectives
- The basic purpose of the course is to acquaint students with principles of national economic systems of the Nordic countries (the state as a strong player in the market). The students will be introduced to some of the traditional industries, including the main companies operating in this segment. Monetary policy is discussed, particularly in relation to the participation of some countries in EMU (Finland), states standing outside (Iceland and Norway), as well as countries with strong EMU connections but still using the national currency (Denmark, Sweden). One of the objectives of the course will also solve some practical issues related to the economy of each individual student ("Think and grow rich").

- 1. Brief description of the Scandinavian economic systems and their particularities 2. Traditional sectors of the economy and introduction of the most successful businesses 3. Innovation and IT - the most powerful weapons of Scandinavia 4. Scandinavia and the euro 5. How can I achieve financial freedom and independence? Think and grow rich!
