- Course objectives
- Course is concentrated upon architecture in the 1st half of XXth century in the urban history of the capital of Moravia - City of Brno. Students receive basic knowledge of Brno art in the period of the Early Modernism, they are trained in aesthetic appreciation and criticism.

- Wiener Secession and its influence
- Otto Wagner as professor and inspirator
- Dušan Jurkovič and his "folk-secession" in the context of the early modernity
- Modern Functionalism and its main representants
- Theory and Works of Bohuslav Fuchs and Ernst Wiesner.
