- Course objectives
- This course should provide a comprehensive view to the traditional Macedonian culture and characterize the current trends in ethnological research in Macedonia. In addition to traditional folk culture it should present a contemporary cultural and social phenomenons and problems (emigration, rural exodus, mass pop culture, "transition to democracy" etc.) At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain contemporary processes in Bulgarian society and traditional folk culture; create final essay on the topic; interpret his own experience in ethnological field researches in the Czech Republic or on the Balkans.
