- Course objectives
- After completing this seminar the students will be able to interpret differences in pronunciation between German and Czech consonants and assimilation and characterize typical pronunciation mistakes made by Czech native speakers.

- 1. Pronunciation of consonant phonemes different to Czech 2. Comparison of Czech and German assimilation 3. Practice of reduction 4. Pronunciation and grammar 5. Text from the phonetic point of view 6. Texts suitable for pronunciation practice 7. New materials for teaching German pronunciation 8. IPA practice

- Seminar; practice of pronunciation of German consonants, assimilation and suprasegmental phenomena of German pronunciation. Specific part of this education is creation of an own phonetic vocabulary. Homework, active independent study.

- Colloquium; The students are supposed to master German pronunciation, as well as the methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes made by Czech native speaker.
