Course objectives
The goal is to present the student with Noh as the main and oldest current within classical Japanese theatre, including its chronological development and modern status quo within Japanese society and on the international scale.
Learning outcomes
After finishing this course, the student will - be able to distinguish the general outlines of the individual genres of classical Japanese theatre; - have an overall idea of and some insight into the Noh theatre as the basis of the Japanese theatrical tradition, in its theoretical, theatrological and literary aspect;
