- Course objectives
- Two semesters course focused on problematics of morphology and morphonology of contemporary Polish. The explanation is focused on the morphonological opposition and category, flection (paradigmatics), theory of alternation. Part I.: declination of substantives, adjectives, pronouns and numerals (types of flection, distribution of endings, of running vocalic and consonantical alternation). Part II.: conjugation of verbs (conjugation of types of Polish verbs, of running vocalic and consonantical alternation). Theoretical part is completed by many practical grammatical exercises. At the end of the course the students should be able to know morphological terminology, to understand and explain theoretical base of morphology and be able to use it in practice. The students should also master Polish grammar, above all the declination and conjugation, at high level.
