Basic orientation in general (mostly cognitive) psychology, research methods, data collection methods, statistics, and psychometry.

Cíle předmětu

Goals of the subject
Provide students with basic knowledge of Engineering psychology / Human Factors as a scientific discipline, provide overview of its methods and tools, demonstrate its relation to basic and applied disciplines in psychology, and introduce Human Centered Design principles including their application in system design.
Acquired competencies
After completing the course, students will be able to understand relationships between the human information processing and system design and they would be able to apply basics of the Human Centered Design process in system design.

Maximum number of students: 20 students. There will be an intruductory lecture where all students are invited in order to decide whether to sign up for the subject.
Organization: Subject is taught in English in half-day blocks.
