- Course objectives
- The Final State Examination is to demonstrate the student’s ability to handle assigned scholarly problems in a cultivated manner, to respond in discussion and display a capacity for matter-of-fact reasoning, to utilize his/her knowledge of literature and other sources in expert debate . The student should prove their knowledge of relevant facts and of basic as well as advanced methodology of studied field. The student proves their knowledge of following topics: a) Czech language (general linguistics and methodology, description of Czech and all its levels from the diachronic and synchronic perspective, the development of standard language and its scholarly reflection); b) mathematics and statistics, informatics and programming, natural language computer processing; c) computational and corpus linguistics. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the final examination the student will be able to:
- apply their knowledge of Czech language and computational linguistics in practice
- continue the study of computational linguistics, Czech language, or informatics as the Ph.D. student. - Syllabus
- The exam always takes place during the exam period (June, September or January). It consists of two parts:
- 1. Master’s thesis defence in the form of a computer presentation in front of an examination board;
- 2. Oral exam in front of an examination board.

- Literatura viz jednotlivé dílčí disciplíny.
- Teaching methods
- The exam has an oral form; the student has the possibility to prepare beforehand.
- Assessment methods
- The board of examiners has three members. The result of the exam is one mark for both sections.
