Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide student with a knowledge of the current issues of positive psychology - its background, main subjects of research, and latest findings.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student will be able to determine main representatives of positive psychology; to highlight the main research areas of positive psychology; to understand the effect of of positive emotions on health; to explain the importance of positive approach on the quality of life and mental health of an individual; to explain the importance and classification of character strengths; to apply gained knowledge in the context of counselling and psychotherapy.

Teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, class discussion, homeworks. Active participation of students during seminars is required.
Assessment methods
The course is completed by colloquium. Final evaluation: delivering of seminar work or oral presentations, paper, class discussion.
