Course objectives
The student is able to list basic branches and languages of Indo-European family; can demonstrate their mutual relativity; knows basic terminology and problematics of IE linguistics; is able to describe morphonemic system of reconstructed protolanguage and to work with given literature.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to apply his knowledge from comparative grammar in both the word formation and etymological analysis of concrete words.
