- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce general theories of Cultural and Social Anthropology. The course deepens the ability of the students to understand traditional Chinese culture in various contexts.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will :
- gain the overview of Western anthropological theories
- understand Chinese social and cultural phenomenons in a particular theoretical frame
- interpret the spiritual and material values of Chinese society - Syllabus
- Students will read and discuss texts about the following issues:
- 1. topics of anthropology
- 2. patterns of culture
- 3. development of anthropological thought
- 4. historical anthropology
