Course objectives
In the diploma thesis the student must demonstrate the ability to work independently in keeping with academic standards, a knowledge and understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyze the issue under study.
The diploma theses deals with a topic corresponding to the subject of their study.
Learning outcomes
- An ability to prepare a scientific research proposal.
- An ability to formulate research questions and hypotheses.
- An ability to write an academic text in accordance with formal requirements.
- Ability to present their research and to take part in a professional discussion.

Teaching methods
Seminar, individual consultations:
Collective theoretical preparation: learn-in formal rules of diploma thesis writing (bibliographic norm, structure, correct argumentation and rationalization).
Individual discussion of home works: literature and other sources collection, organization of a thesis content, and partial chapters of the thesis.
Assessment methods
The advisor awards the course-unit credit for the semester on the basis of progress made and student-advisor consultations. Another requirements: 10 minutes presentation in front of class, active participation in class discussions.
