Course objectives
The aim is to present students with the current state of practice in the academic library, with an emphasis on reference services.

The student is responsible for the assigned reference desk and library floor. They get in direct contact with users and become familiar with their information needs. Assigned work will also test their ability to respond to these needs.

Students who cannot participate in the provision of services have the opportunity to write a paper on given topic.

All students have the opportunity to consult with a librarian.

Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
– understand the services of the Central Library and role of its' departments
– provide basic information services
– and / or write a paper on assigned topic

Study materials: MS Teams app will serve as a communication platform and materials storage.

In person practice: One week of practice, Monday to Friday, 15 to 20.

Assigned work: Students will work on assigned topics from ISK. They must consult the librarian at least twice during the semester.
