Course objectives
The course is focused on the practical archaeology training of students in domestic institutions where they are working on various archaeological issues - archaeological prospecting, field research, preservation of historical monuments, protection of cultural heritage, work in museum, etc.
The internship in domestic institutions will be focused on practical training in archaeological heritage preservation, on the management of archaeological rescue research and on the legal agenda in the heritage preservation.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, student should be better prepared for his/her professional practice.
In the case of an open competition for a professional position, he/she should be able to respond adequately to the announced conditions and work out an appropriate development project.
The course graduate should be able to compete in professional field.
Syllabus
  • - 120 working hours in a professional institution engaged in archaeology (prospecting, excavations, collections, exhibitions, monument care)
  • - Student makes the practice during the semester or during the examination period belonging to that semester
  • - Student plans out the term of his/her practice in accordance with the plan of his/her study and with the time schedule of his/her supervisor
  • - Supervisor determines the content of the practice in agreement with the guarantor of the subject
  • - Supervisor is the staffer of the hosting institution where the practice is going on
  • - Practice is not paid
