- Course objectives
- The course covers the preparation of an undergraduate course by a doctoral student who proposes to teach one. The course involves a complex preparation of the syllabus of the intended course in line with the ECTS requirements and gaining information on the practical organization of a course and the tasks of teachers. The evaluated outcome is a complete syllabus of the intended course in Czech and English following the ECTS requirements.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- prepare an undergraduate course concerning a topic related to their dissertation research;
- create a course syllabus following the ECTS requirements;
- understand the tasks and practicalities of teaching a course;
- organize a course in line with the Study Regulation of Masaryk University.

- Information meeting concerning the course and the requirements.
- Submission of a first version of the syllabus of the intended course, feedback from the coordinator and supervisor.
- Seminar meeting - information about the practicalities of teaching and supervising a course, requirements from teachers.
- Submission of a final version of the syllabus of the intended course in Czech and English version based upon the consideration of the feedback from the coordinator and supervisor (Homework Vault in IS MU).
- Filling in the syllabus of the intended course in Czech and English version in IS MU (if the course is to be taught in the immediately following semester).

- Individual preparation of the syllabus of the intended course under the supervision of the course coordinator and supervisor; participation in an informative meeting.
- Assessment methods
- By the exam term in IS MU, participants submit a final version of the syllabus of the indended course in both Czech and English versions. The syllabus must have by then undergone a thorough discussion with the course coordinator and supervisor and must meet the ECTS requirements. One criterion is also the quality of both content and form of the syllabus and the completeness of information it provides (100%). If the course is to be taught in the immediately following semester, it is also required to fill in the syllabus in IS MU, following the ECTS requirements, in both Czech and English versions before the start of the registration period of the upcoming semester.
