Course objectives
The course provides systematic support for students's research and work on thesis. The course is platform for reflection of research and writing process, discussion on emerging issues in research and methodogogical focus of work.
Learning outcomes
- student develops topic of research both in term of material and methodology
- student continously proceeds with research and writing of dissertation thesis
Syllabus
  • The course is divided into two seminar groups. In case of need and interest general seminar session could be organised.
  • The course includes individual consultations with tutor (at least once per semester!) and regular seminar group sessions. The seminar take place every semester during standard study period.
  • Group seminar is organised ussually one or two times in semester, as needed.
  • Presentation of students are scheduled at the beginning of semester, students will provide their paper 3 weeks before scheduled date to the tutor, and 1 week to the whole group. Designated student provide review of the presentation.
  • Taks for particular semester as set as follows:
  • I (2. or 3. semester). Presentation of research project (description of research question, working plan, possible findings, actual state of research, definition of key concepts, description of theoretical/historical context, annotated bibliography of literature and sources (about 15 pages).
  • II (4. or 5. semester): First sample chapter. Theoretical introduction (30 pages).
  • III (6. or 7. semestr): Second sample chapter (30 pages).
