- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to publish or submit a scholarly paper to a national or international scholarly journal. Previous consultation with the supervisor regarding the choice of the journal is recommended. Students are encouraged to select a journal enlisted in the "List of peer-reviewed periodicals published in the Czech Republic" or included in the Erih+ or Scopus databases. In the case of international journals they should be listed in Erih+ or Scopus databases. In case of international journals a good reputation in the field of study is expected .
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students will be able to:
look for and choose an appropriate journal for the given theme
actively understand the process of writing and submitting a scholarly study for publication
have a good knowledge of the particulars of the peer-review process - Syllabus
- Consultations with supervisor, choosing an adequate journal
- Writing process, consultations with supervisor if needed
- Adjusting the text according to the guideliness of the selected journal
- Submitting the paper, including attachments
- Processing reviewers' comments, consultations with supervisor if necessary
- Final adjustment of the text
