- Course objectives
- This seminar is focused on work with text. Understanding of Modern Greek texts, text analysis and, above all, independent writing practice. The aim of the course is to introduce different functional styles to students and enable them to apply the acquired knowledge in their own independent writing.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students will be capable of:
- understanding different funcional styls;
- independent writing of different types of text in Greek;
- formulation their opinions in written form in Greek. - Syllabus
- Revision of the rules of Greek orthography – basic theoretical information and practical exercises.
- Functional styles: critical reading (literary, scholary and journalistic texts) and written assignments (resumé, abstract etc.).
- Exercise of administrative texts (letter, CV, application, advertisements etc).

- The course has a form of a seminar.
- Assessment methods
- Students write and submit written work. Regular class attendance (min. 70%) and continuous work on assignments are a condition for credit.
