- Course objectives
- The main emphasis is put on further development and improvement of students’ communicational skills in Russian based on dialogs, talks and discussions on set conversational topics.
The essential part of the course is removal of obstacles caused by Czech-Russian interference in grammar and vocabulary.
It is expected to further develop the improvement of students’ written speech as well as understanding texts on set topics and authentic recordings in Russian. - Learning outcomes
- After finishing the course, the student will be able:
- to understand unadapted journalistic and literary texts on discussed topics and authentic recordings in Russian language;
- to independently work with texts on discussed topics using gained knowledge;
- to correctly express his own opinion on the certain communicational situation from phonetical, lexical and grammar point of view, using new vocabulary both in oral and written forms;
- to discuss and argue on covered topics in Russian. - Syllabus

- Conversational exercises, discussions, group projects, oral and video presentations and submission of essays.
- Assessment methods
- Regular active participation in seminars, regular fulfillment of assigned tasks (searching and studying material on a certain topic, preparation and presentation, essay writing and submission, active participation in discussions on a predetermined topic, etc.), tolerance of two absences.
Group projects.
In the case of full-time teaching, the condition for successful completion of the course are the final project in the form of a presentation and essays submitted in time. - Language of instruction
