Course objectives
The subject and aim of the thesis is based on the principle of teacher studies, which leads to the integration of disciplinary and pedagogical knowledge and its use in practice.
Learning outcomes
The diploma thesis demonstrates the ability of graduates of the Master's degree in history teaching to apply not only professional, but also pedagogical, psychological or didactic knowledge. The topics can also be linked to a wider range of topics related to educational theory and practice. The general aim of the thesis should be to link disciplinary and pedagogical knowledge, their theoretical reflection and possible application to practice.
Syllabus
  • The assignment for the Master's thesis should be set when registering for the first diploma seminar, usually at the beginning of the third semester of study. Students may choose the topic of their thesis in agreement with one of the supervising teachers.
  • The thesis shall be at least 140 000 characters long. The binding part of the thesis is the title page, which contains the name of the university, faculty, institute, the title of the thesis, the designation of the type of thesis (master's thesis), the name of the author, the supervisor and the year of preparation, the author's declaration of the originality of the thesis, the contents, the list of sources and literature used and the notes. Students publish the thesis by uploading its electronic version to the MUNI IS.

Assessment methods
The defence of the thesis is part of the state final examination.
