- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to develop the competences of future psychologists in the field of corporate development and education. By actively completing the course, the student will learn to approach education in organizations systematically and comprehensively. The student will become familiar with the current practice, the approaches and methods advocated, and the appropriateness of their use in relation to the various factors that influence the learning outcomes of an organisation. The course is practically oriented - so students will also learn through their own activities and experiences. They will learn how to design a training programme and implement part of it - they will lead training or teambuilding as trainers. Afterwards, they will undertake evaluation. This will encourage students to actively develop critical thinking and skills that they will apply in the field of corporate training and development, where psychology graduates can find opportunities as internal employees or external training providers (e.g. teambuilding or training). How to make corporate training meaningful? This is a central question that we will return to continually throughout the subject and to which we will gradually find the answer.
- Learning outcomes
- The subject content covers the basic set of skills and knowledge needed (together with experience) to: (a) designing and delivering training programmes (primarily of the training and teambuilding type), (b) making competent decisions about the organization's training system. The student will learn to think critically about individual, team and organisational factors in relation to the outcomes of training activities. The student will master the skill of analyzing the learning needs of the organization and gain insight into how to provide internal communication and other necessary steps to set learning goals. They will learn to design and implement training programs, evaluate their progress and results, and determine follow-up actions. The acquired competences can be used in the position of - work psychologist, HR manager, corporate training methodologist, lecturer/trainer or external supplier of corporate training programmes.

- A picture of corporate practice - approaches, methods, opportunities and challenges of the industry.
- Factors influencing the course and outcomes of organizational learning.
- The role and competencies of the psychologist in the process of corporate development and training.
- Specifics of adult education.
- Factors of (de)motivation of individuals and teams to development and education.
- Types of programs and activities, their comparison and suitability for use in relation to the goals and recipients of training, corporate capabilities and other relevant factors.
- Team development: team building / team spirit / team fun type programs and others.
- Principles of planned and systematic employee and team development with measurable results.
- Application of psychological and social knowledge in the employee training process.
- The cycle of development and implementation of a training program.
- Needs analysis and determination of training aims.
- Designing the educational programme.
- Implementation of the training program - group facilitation and tutoring.

- Teaching methods
- The lessons consist of theoretical input, whole group/small group discussions, team work and reflection on team dynamics. The students design the training program and execute a lesson from their program - with the participation of another team (teambuilding) or all colleagues (training). They will then evaluate the programme and get feedback for further development.
- Assessment methods
- Successful completion of the course requires a minimum of 80% attendance, active participation in lessons (to an individually beneficial extent), the development and implementation of a group project (educational programme), a final written reflection and a colloquium.
