Course objectives
The objective is to enable students to gain practical experience in a selected memory institute. The practical work will focus on a particular area of archive work and can also be the basis for choosing a bachelor or master thesis topic. There are places in selected memory institutions in abroad as well as archives and in the relevant departments of museums and libraries. The choice is regularly updated according to the interests and profiles of the students. Depending on prior approval, it is possible to do the practical work in a memory institution of students’ choice. The practical work takes place over a continuous for a minimum period of 2 months after the end of the course (usually May-September).
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- practically apply their theoretical knowledge of auxiliary historical sciences and archive sciences;
- independently carry out selected tasks from archival work in a selected memory institute;
- foreing language.
Syllabus
  • Continuous practical work in a state or other accredited archive (May-September). Students choose where to work by the end of March.

  • Literatura bude doporučována individuálně podle zvoleného místa pobytu a tématu praxe.
Teaching methods
Continuous practical work, consultation with the tutor.
Assessment methods
Credit will be awarded upon the fulfilment of the academic plan and the completed assessment of the practical work.
