- Course objectives
- The Summer School of Classical Studies, organized in cooperation with the Centre for Classical Studies of the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, is a traditional annual event designed to deepen knowledge in the field of Antiquity and the Middle Ages with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches. The program combines historical, cultural, and social perspectives to equip participants with the skills necessary for critical analysis of historical phenomena and their impact on contemporary society. The course supports the development of professional competencies and the ability to apply acquired knowledge in practice.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon the completion of the course, the participants will:
Gain a deeper understanding of historical processes and cultural contexts related to Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
Be able to critically evaluate historical events and their impact on societal development.
Master methods of interdisciplinary analysis in the humanities.
Be capable of applying acquired knowledge in teaching practice, popularization activities, and cultural projects. - Syllabus
