- Course objectives
- The objective of the course is to help students acquire basic knowledge in the field of Italian grammar and vocabulary and, above all, elementary skills.
Output language competence corresponding to CEFR: A2+. - Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to talk about personal past and present events, to talk about future projects, to give instructions and advices, to make comparisons, to express agreement/disagreement.

- M. Birello, S. Bonafaccia, F. Bosc, G. Licastro, A. Vilagrasa, "Al dente" vol. 2".
- Main topics: Past tense: passato prossimo and imperfetto; future tense: futuro semplice; condicional;imperative (informal).
- Pronouns and adjectives: Personal pronouns and adjectives (direct and indirect), indefinite and possessive pronouns and adjectives,
- comparatives. Lexical areas: everyday activities, family, travels and (public) transport, personality and physical appearance, clothes, sport.
- Textual ability: Students have to choose and read one of the ITA-CZE bilingual publications edited by EDIKA.

- Teaching methods
- Seminar and additional excercises (also in ELF). Students have to choose and read one of the bilingual Italian/Czech publications edited by EDIKA for A1/A2 level of language. Exercises and activities in ELF (individual and autonomous work at home) are strongly recommended because they form an integral part of the course materials.
