Course objectives
An overview of the development of Polish literary studies and criticism. The course includes remarks on general literary-theoretical processes in ancient Greece and Rome and later periods in the world and the development of specifically Polish issues. More detailed comments are devoted to specific problems, e.g. poetics, the study of genres, etc.
