Course objectives
A contrastive comparison of means of expression in Czech and Latin in the Classic Period; analysis of examples from various types of Latin texts documenting (a) social and functional differentiation in Latin in antiquity and (b) the chronological development of the literary language in antiquity with a view to later periods.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Podmínkou pro udělení kolokvia je test z latinské frazeologie a překlad českého textu do latiny. Dále by měl student přednést referát stylisticky rozebírající zadanou varietu latinského jazyka. Téma zadává vyučující, referát se odevzdává i písemně.
