Course objectives
The subject of this two-semester course is a historical and theoretical (aesthetics) interpretation of works by composers of so called "national composition schools" of 19th and 20th century in central and east Europe. Some attention is also paid to folk songs of the territory, their collecting and theoretical reflexion.
