Course objectives
The elective seminar will focus especially on the reading and interpretation of chosen texts; interpretation will not aim only to comprehend to a remarkable semantic variety of separate text (poem), but above all to discovery of semantics centres, of which we could specify the poetics of Group 42. Seminar sums up historical and literary context of the age and warns of unique semi-detached house of literature and painting in Group 42.

  • 1.-2. Literary context of the age of inception Group 42. 3. Literary groups in 40s of 20. century. 4. Programme declaration of Jindřich Chalupecký. 5.-6. Semantics of a Town: Scenery of a Town. 7.-8. Semantics of a Town: Court. 9. Semantics of a Town: Room - Town and intimity. 10.-11. Multivoice of a Town - anthropogistical dimension of poetry. 12. Myth - Characters of fate, wistnesses of the occurrences and everydayness. 13. Composition vs. fragmentation. 14. Searching for the present time.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Seminář bude ukončen zápočtem; předpoklady k jeho dosažení budou: napsání seminární práce (interpretace básně či recenze sbírky jednoho z členů Skupiny 42) a 70% účast v seminářích a příprava do výuky (čtení předepsaných a připravených textů).
