Course objectives
The course will follow the history of Czech animation from its pre-war beginnings, through the formation of the Czech animation school till the recent production of the 90s, and offers the profiles of significant figures of the Czech animation: Jiri Trnka, Hermina Tyrlova, Bretislav Pojar, Jan Svankmajer, Jiri Barta, Pavel Koutsky and Michaela Pavlatova. It will also introduce to the students the basic animation techniques, such as the cell animation, puppet animation, clay animation or computer generated images.

Kurs probíhá v těchto termínech: 21. 10. dopoledne - 9.10-12.25 25.11. odpoledne - 13.20-16.35 Dne 21.10. proběhne v rámci kursu mimořádná přednáška doc. PhDr. Vladimíra Suchánka, Ph.D. a to v době 10.50-12.25. Téma přednášky: Spiritualita českého animovaného filmu Kurs je ukončen je ukončen písemnou prací na zadané téma. Rozsah práce 4 normostrany. Práce má prokázat orientaci v oblasti a znalost odporné literatury.
