Course objectives
The course deals with the the concept of a medieval crisis. Relevant individual problems from the Late Middle Ages – from the 14th to the start of the 16th centuries – will be analysed, as well as the views of modern historians. Therefore each seminar will look at both medievalist and historiographical issues. Students receive a text a week in advance which will be intrepreted at the following lesson.
