Course objectives
American transendental idealismus: R.W.Emerson. American pragmatismus: W. James, J. Dewey. Analytical philosophy in Great Britain: G. E. Moore, B. Russell, J. L. Austin. Analytical philosophy in the USA: W.V.O. Quine. Hermeneutical tendencies in contemporary Anglo-American philosophy,post-analytical philosophy in the USA: P. Winch, H. Bloom, S. Cavell, H. Putnam. Canadian philosophy: Ch. Taylor. Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to gain the fundamental knowledge of some tendencies of the contemporary Anglo-American philosophy; to understand the topical character of America neopragmatism; to understand the cultural a political foundations of the contemporary Anglo/American philosophical thought.
