- Course objectives
- The students will get acquainted with the history of the concept of "Renaissance", with the basic philosophical branches, concepts and attitudes in Renaissance and selectively with some philosophers representing the era.
- Syllabus
- -the Renaissance myths and commonplaces -authors writing about the Renaissance philosophy -the Renaissance humanism -Platonism -Aristotle in renaissance -Metaphysics and the concept of soul -the metaphysics of nature -the role of Renaissance philosophy in the beginning of modern science -the moral and social philosophy of Renaissance era (the ethics of municipal life, humanistic pragmatism, the philosophy of friendship, metaphysics of love)
