- Course objectives
- The aim of the lecture is to provide the students with the process of transformation in Polish literature in the last two decades (1989-2009) in the context of the development of other Slavonic literatures. At the end of the course the student should have a more precise idea of the depth of changes in Polish literature in recent two decades, especially in its themes and poetics.
- Syllabus
- Transformation, decline of „the only truth“, pluralism, feminism, minorities, postmodernism, the fluid present, revival of religion and quasi-religion, flourishing sects, search for the unimaginable. Literature as a conscience of society. Relation of new establishment to social functions of literature. Intrinsic colonization. Search for European patriotism.
