Course objectives
This course is inteded for begginers. Students will learn basic grammar of Croatian language. At the end of this course, students should be able to use simple sentences in this language.
Syllabus
  • 1. Article: "Familiarization", Pronoun, Verb "biti" (positive clause), Noun - gendre, Nominativ 2. Article: "Impersonation", Pronoun "Tko?" "Što?", Verb "biti" (negative clause), Nominativ, Genitiv, Preposition (+ genitiv) 3. Article: "In the classroom", Genitiv, Possessive Pronoun 4. Article: Dialogue, Akuzativ, Lokativ, Verb "imati" (positive forme, questions) 5. Article: "On the Street", Present tense (-am, -aš, -a, -amo, -ate, -aju), Questions 6. Article: "In a Flat", Dativ, Lokativ, Verb "imati" (negative clause), Possesive Pronoun "njihov" 7. Tekst: "Before leaving"; Thyself "svoj", Present tense (-em, -eš, -e, -emo, -ete, -u), Negative cause 8. Teaching methods
The course makes use of a number of various didactic methods and teaching is based on active involvement of students and their cooperation with teacher. The lessons consist of teacher´s explanations, students´ own work (individual as well as group one), grammar, conversation and listening exercises, games etc. There are also authentic Croatian materials used in the course, by means of which students get knowledge of Croatian area studies.

written test, each student is allowed to miss 3x
