- Course objectives
- This course has a practical orientation mainly. It is a workshop for a maximum of 10 participants and it begins with the process of selecting the suitable texts. The aim is to work on a translatological project - production of a Czech anthology of the Polish Balkanists articles and papers (on literature, art, politology, sociology, etnology, cultural studies). Students work independently on their respective articles or papers, and then discuss and correct them in group. The final version which will be printed, will be the result of the course. This kind of anthology will be the first one in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. Materials for the anthology will be selected and prepared during the first session. At the end of the course the students should be able to work individually (translations from Polish to Czech) or in a team, they should practice their translatological competence and skills. The project work will be published in book form during the fourth quarter 2009.
