- Course objectives
- The lecture deals with the central point of Plato's philosophy - with his Ideas. It will show Plato's texts in which he describes the Ideas, offer a systematic explanation of that point and explain Aristotle's critique of Plato's Ideas as well.
After the completion of the course, students should be able to: explain meaning and main items of Plato's theory of Ideas. - Syllabus

- 2. The structure of the realm of ideas.
- 3. The relationship of ideas and particulars (the third man problem).
- 4. How are we to recognize ideas?
- 5. Aristotle's critique of Plato's Ideas (Metaphysics).
