- PSA_0SZ Comprehensive Examination || PSA_SZ Bachelor Degree Examination
Pre-requisites needed to obtain the credit: 1. Certification of the absolved short-term attachment (practice has to be undertaken at a clinical site or at a clinical psychologist). 2. Active participation under the supervision of a psychologist. Student’s participation will confirm the supervisor of the short-term attachment. It is expected that student will do a psychological examination of a client, which embodies administration and interpretation of a psychodiagnostic test battery (at least one from each category; all of the below mentioned tests are recommended, not obligatory): Performance tests (intelligence, memory etc.) Raven, Wechsler (W-B, WAIS-R, WAIS III.), Wechsler Memory. Personality tests (questionnaires, projective methods, etc.) MMPI, BOD, ICL, KUD, MAS, N 5, Cornell-index, CPI ROR, TAT, Rosenzweig, Wartegg, Sacks. Differential diagnostic methods (rating scales, organicity tests, etc.) Malamud-Sands, ZPPS Benton, Bender, LFT, DCS. 3. Written elaboration of a short-term attachment document – under the supervision of a psychologist. Student will elaborate one psychological finding within the range of 6 pages. Student will also describe the workplace within the range of a half page. 4. Written personal evaluation of the short-term attachment. Student will evaluate the contribution of the short-term attachment for his/her personal growth and will assess obtained knowledge in relation to the theory. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- Practice takes place in a psychiatry or at the clinical psychologist!. It is part of the clinical psychodiagnostic practice and builds on the experience of psychopathology . After completion of practice, students should be able to: - Choose the appropriate diagnostic methods; - Administer basic diagnostic methods; - Orientate in patient documentation; - Write clinical findings; - Communicate with patients; - Understand personality pathology.
- Syllabus
- Course of the short-term attachment: the short-term attachment lasts 5 days and takes place at a chosen workplace from the field of clinical psychology (the list of the recommended workplaces is available at the department of psychology or can be arranged individually with the help of the short-term attachment guarantee). Synopsis for the written elaboration of the short-term attachment document: 1) Description of the workplace, organizational incorporation, scope of employment, currently solved problems, description of student’s participation. 2) Currently solved case – it is obligatory that student will elaborate a psychological finding by using knowledge obtained from used diagnostic methods, observation and exploration. Psychological examination must include purpose, circumstances of the examination, list and analysis of used diagnostic methods, conclusion of the examination (more information are available at the secretariat of the department of psychology). The ethics code must be kept in the case report (preservation of anonymity etc.). Note: written elaboration of the examination can be used as case report, which is needed for the final exam.

- Teaching methods
- Individual intership under supervision of clinical psychologist or psychiatrist in health-care institution. Intership is aimed on administration and evaluation of basal methods of psychological assessment.
