- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce the context of first regulative tendencies in relation to cinema and cinematigraphic screenings from the beginning of 20th century till the year 1945.
At the end of the course students will be able to evaluate the role of state and of cultural institutions in this process and to distinguish differences between various cultural traditions (USA, Great Britain, Germany, Scandinavia, Czechoslovakia etc.) - Syllabus
- Introduction - censhorship as general cultural phenomenon. The development of film censorship in particular countries (USA, Great Britain, Scandinavia, Germany, Czechoslovakia etc.).
