- Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand main trends in religiosity in contemporary Czech society, to analyze historical background on contemporary situation, to analyze legislative situation and to compare it with situation in other European countries, to learn the history of main religious groups in last century

- 1.Historical development of religious situation in the Czech lands I – character of Christianization of the Czech lands
- 2.Historical development of religious situation in the Czech lands II – character of Czech reformation (Hussite movements and Czech /Moravian/ Brethrens)
- 3.Religious situation in the first part of 20th Century (1918 – 1948) – role of religions in new Czechoslovak state, religion and nationalism
- 4.Religious situation during the communist regime – repression, religious dissent, so called underground Church
- 5.Legislative framework of religious life after 1989 – laws concerning religious groups and movements, criminalization of some forms of religious life
- 6.Religions in political life after 1989 – role of religions in Czech public policy.
