- Absolvování přednáškového cyklu, samostudium základní a doporučené literatury, dostatečná odborná orientace v problematice na základě znalosti literatury, jejího kritického hodnocení a konfrontace poznatků z literatury s libovolným vybraným objektem poznaným z autopsie.

- Course objectives
- Series of lectures will expand basic knowledge of students of the history of art. They will focus on the systematic analysis of certain architectural types, structures or elements in the broader context of their development. The selection of topics will focus on lesser-known architectural signs and trends that will be seen in the context of their own changes or developments interpretations. He wants to draw attention to the possibility of their ambivalent interpretation of their significance for the future study of trends in the Romanesque and Gothic architecture in Central and East-Central Europe. Attention will be paid to the design aspects, symbolic content and links between form and function in the background of cultural and social contexts and historical realities.
- Syllabus
- 1) Pride of Brahmins: Roman tribunes churches in Bohemia variety of functions and their relation to the structure and layout forms (what were bleachers Romanesque churches, how they had transformed and where had disappeared) 2) The image of a new order: the emergence of a town church in East Central Europe (more than a winding road to the later obviousnes 3) The roots of Late Gothic style I.: Gothic tracery windows - sensitive mirror transformation classic Gothic style to the post-classic Gothic style and linear Gothic in the centers and the peripherals 4) The roots of late Gothic style II.: vault reform 13th and 14 century, or from Paris through the Rhineland to the Czech lands (and back?) 5) Upstream: from Moravia to Bohemia and next to the west? (Two waves looking for a new style in the 13th century) 6) Post Scriptum: vestry, chapels and halls of churches in Gothic style(microarchitecture inserted into wholes, or what can tell the so-call the secondary premises)
