- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to use the Latvian on basic lexical and grammatical level, i. e. to decline nouns, conjugate verbs and make basic conversations (to introduce him/her self, family etc.)
- Syllabus
- In this semester, we present a brief outlook of Latvian history and work with 1) Latvian noun cases and 2) present verb tense.
- The vocabulary taught this semester consists of 1) family 2) professions 3) basic conversation phrases 4) languages.

- To gain the credits it is necessary to actively participate in the lesson and to be absent from the class no more than 3 times. Type of examination: credit test comprising Latvian grammar and vocabulary.
