Course objectives
Applied ethnology offers a unique approach to the issues of the so-called peacebuilding, which integrates ethnology/cultural anthropology and the related fields as the theoretical base on the one hand with extensive practical experience from post-conflict fieldwork on the other hand. The subject explains the fundamental nature of peacebuilding and its use in conflict/post-conflict areas using theoretical models and analytical approach to the phenomenon of ethnic/ethno-social/tribe/religious conflicts.
Syllabus
  • The aim of the lecture is to focus on the professionalism and viability of peacebuilding activities and offer the students/university graduates the possibility to work in the field within the international community.
