- Course objectives
- The course aims to introduce students to difficulties of the development of reading and literacy, especially for children and adults, but also for persons with special needs. After successful completion of the course students will be able to understand the projects / activities to promote reading in various age groups, manage to apply the Framework educational program of cultural activities at educational institutions, especially libraries. Students will be able to try different methods of promoting reading and selected methods will be applied in the context of the final project.

- • What is reading? • Projects to promote the reading of different age and social groups • Framework educational programs and schools, libraries ... • Development psychology - children skills, literature appropriate for certain age groups • Literacy research • Interesting book prizes of literature for children and youth • Methods of critical thinking in libraries • Methods of drama education in libraries • Excursions to the specialized facilities working with clients with specific needs
